NEW YORK, NY, May 27, 2024-- G&S Business Communications (G&S), an integrated public relations and communications agency that helps innovative companies change the world, is honored to recognize Jordan Jarrett as the 2024 recipient of its Luke Lambert Legacy (LLL) Scholarship and Internship program. Jordan is an undergraduate student at Howard University seeking a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Film and Journalism with a minor in English.

"Like Luke, all of us at G&S are passionate about investing in future generations of talent and enhancing the representation of people of color and other historically marginalized communities within our agency and across the industry at large," said Anne Green, G&S Business Communications CEO. “Our panel of judges who generously volunteered their time to review entries were so impressed with each applicant’s academic achievement, contributions to their communities and commitment to pursuing an integrated marketing communications career. We applaud all those who applied and celebrate Jordan on this well-deserved recognition!  We are looking forward to welcoming her to the G&S team as an intern this summer.”

Jordan will receive a one-time award of $5,000 and a paid, in-person internship at the G&S Raleigh, N.C., office location.

In her essay, Jordan shared that her experiences as part of the social media team at Her Campus, an on-campus magazine at Howard University, ignited her passion for social media marketing and digital communications and drove her to pursue a career in a field where she can utilize her skills to foster meaningful connections.

“I appreciate being awarded the Luke Lambert Legacy Scholarship and am thrilled to join the G&S team this summer,” said Jordan. “This scholarship will help me face many financial barriers while in school. Being an intern at G&S encourages me to promote change in my community and will equip me with the opportunities to engage in community outreach. I hope to learn hard skills in marketing and communication, while building meaningful connections around me.”

Candidates were evaluated on academic achievement, honors and awards, extracurricular activities, commitment to a career in integrated marketing and alignment with G&S values. The selection committee of esteemed judges included Luke Lambert himself; David Albritton, Founder & CEO of the executive coaching and consulting firm Nineteen88 Strategies; Kim Sample, PR Council President; Carmella Glover, Vice President, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Page Society; Ralph Katz, Co-Founder of CooperKatz and former EVP at G&S; Mark Monroe, former G&S Principal; Brian Hall; G&S Principal and President; Caryn Caratelli, G&S Principal and Managing Director; and Dana Ferrell, G&S SVP and Managing Director.
